Thank you very much for this succinct introduction to this poetess that sums up so well what is known. I recently bought a new edition of her poetry - the few complete songs we have and all those fragments on papyrus rescued from out of desert and traders' drawers. It's a cheap paperback edited by Anton Bierl, bilingual.
My pleasure!! I am glad that Giordano Bruno, from burning at the stake and journeying to the afterlife- was able to come back and leave me that wonderful comment!
I was told, this morning that I am like Loren Eiseley's old man by the sea, tossing stranded starfish back into the ocean. The person saying that to me didn't know that Eiseley first wrote that, or even who Eiseley was. I first read that story in the '70s, and it has been an animating force in my life since. I even went across country for college to attend the university Eiseley was a professor at. (Alas, never met him. He died the summer after my first year.) Needless to say, my friend's compliment was very moving to me. It also gave me an opportunity to introduce someone else to the wonder of his writing.

The world is a poorer
Because men have tried to write out
The triumph of women
